Committee Description and Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the processes that control access to our Community through our North and West gates including maintaining entry security equipment and communicating with local law enforcement agencies.   Open Gate Hours are 5:00 am to 6:00 pm winter and summer.  This committee is always looking for volunteers. The committee meets weekly, on Tuesdays, for breakfast at the Caloosa Club for casual meetings and on an as needed basis. Experience in Electrical, Software, Mechanical is helpful. If interested, email CAC@caperoyalhoa.com  The Community Access Committee Tasks are as follows:

  • Responsible for managing the processes that control access to our Community through our North and West gates during the hours of 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM EST. 

  • The control and issuance of the vehicle stickers, reusable bars, three (3) codes and Personal Access Cards used for gate access.

  • Control Vendor Access to the community during the hours of 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM EST.

  • Management and/or repair of the physical gates and operating systems.

  • Working with our dedicated team of Block Captains to ensure that we have a very effective control process in place to alleviate any access problem areas.

  • Monitoring transactions and taking appropriate actions against individuals that abuse our access controls that are in place.

  • Understand the issues relative to its scope responsibilities by communicating with the BOD and HOA membership.

  • Develop and manage the approved annual Budget.

  • Develop tactical plans specific to the budget, committee plans and objectives.

  • Execute plans utilizing project management skills.

  • Manage BOD approved 3rd party contracts.

  • Periodically assess future requirements of the Committee’s long range planning and communicating to the Board.
