Committee Description and Responsibilities
The Golf Steering Committee was formed in 2017 after the Cape Royal HOA purchased the golf course, which includes 27 golf holes (3) - 9 hole Gordon Lewis designed courses, golf club house (with full kitchen, dining room, Bar and Pro Shop), golf cart building, maintenance building and equipment. The committee meets monthly with the course management leasing company, Troon Green Golf Partners, throughout the year. Committee responsibilities include the following:

Coordinate relationship with the course management company (Troon Green Golf Partners) and resolve issues and set expectations between Troon GGP and the Cape Royal Community.

Identify, plan for and budget in areas that HOA has responsibility.

Administer lease between Cape Royal HOA and Troon GGP.

Committee Members are assigned specific tasks to oversee which include project management of prioritized tasks; facilities management for active projects in work, management of non golf course assets, i.e. maintenance shed, bocce courts, pickleball courts, pump house and parking lot as well as identification and planning of future projects and financial direction. Previous experience is necessary for membership in this committee, please contact the chairperson with questions.
Understand the issues relative to its scope responsibilities by communicating with the BOD and HOA membership.
Develop and manage the approved annual Budget.
Develop tactical plans specific to the budget, committee plans and objectives.
Execute plans utilizing project management skills.
Manage BOD approved 3rd party contracts.
Periodically assess future requirements of the Committee’s long range planning and communicating to the Board.
