Donations & Memorials Committee Background and Responsibilities

The Donations and Memorials Committee was established in Summer 2022 to create a community wide donations program covering projects in all areas of Cape Royal with a value equal to or exceeding $500. It is in its inception period, and has been working to create the necessary infrastructure for the Program, basing the process on two previously completed projects:
--The Barry Burke Bench Project
--The Lake 7 Fountain Project

The committee has established Created a set of Guidelines, and created process models for approval of both Single Donor and Complex Multiple Donor proposals, as well as a process model for donation maintenance. Forms are available for managing the process.

 

Other committee responsibilities include;

  • Understand the issues relative to its scope responsibilities by communicating with the BOD and HOA membership.

  • Develop and manage the approved annual Budget.

  • Develop tactical plans specific to the budget, committee plans and objectives.

  • Execute plans utilizing project management skills.

  • Manage BOD approved 3rd party contracts.

  • Periodically assess future requirements of the Committee’s long range planning and communicating to the Board.
